Broken glass attractions

(Jessie Doyle)

Wrote this for anyone that has ever stayed in a toxic relationship with the false expectations that the person you think you love will somehow change and start being a better person instead of being evil and doing such awful things to everyone for reasons that will always be unknown.

(Verse one) You don't even know anymore, why you've gone so mad You've lost your mind, and you want all of us to feel just as bad Your little act of playing victim It's getting old, it's a worn out system I can't stand to be in your evil presence anymore I can't look you in the face without the urge to smash it against the door In a simple matter of seconds hope was drained dry You don'have a reason anymore, so don't pretend to try (chorus intro) Everything you do is fake A sad attempt to fool me Go fuck yourself for heaven's sake (chorus) I bet your don't even see, the monster you've become I bet you don't realize your heart is dead, finally come undone Living out your last breath locked in the sights of a hired gun This string of words, I'll string you along A mixture of power and the strength to carry on (Verse 2) I never asked you to like it I never asked you to understand I never asked you to finish this for me, gaining the upper hand So don't try to help Don't try to cope, Please help me tighten the noose XXXXXX XX XXXXXX XX XXXX XXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XX XXXX XXXXX XXX XXXXXX XX XX XXXXX XXXX XXXXX XX XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXX XXXX XXXXX XX XXXXXXX X XXXXX XXXXXXX XXX X XXXXXXX XXX XXXX XXXX X XXXXXXX XXX XXXX XXXX XXX XX XXX XX XXXX XX XXXXX XXX XXXX XXX XX XXXXX XXXXXX XXX XXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XX XXXXXX XXX XXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX XXXX XXX XXXX XXX XX XXXXX X XXXXXXXX XXXX XXX X XXX XXXXX XXXX XXX XX XXXXXXX XXXXXX X XXXXXXX XXXXXX XXXX XXXX X XXX XXX XX XXXX XXXX XXXXX XXXX XXX XXXXX X XXXX XXXXXX XXXXX XXXX XXXXX

Invisible camouflage

By Jessie Doyle

I wrote this song to try and express the importance of being who you really are as a human, what your purpose really is, why your here, and to be honest and genuine, you will feel it if you try to force something to try and define you, it won't feel right, it will be a bit off kilter, be you, and only you, don't try to put on invisible camouflage to fit in with the rest of society's rules and regulations, it may be uncomfortable at first and may get down right ugly, but in the long run you will shine bright and stand tall and be proud.

New God, no hope

By Jessie Doyle

I was sitting around thinking that what if out of the blue society and the human race as a whole came under the assumption that you were somehow their new God, the new salvation, the new answer to everything somehow, and as great as that may seem it's something I personally would never ever want the responsibility of dealing with, and regardless of there being any truth or substance to that claim, I would have to decline the opportunity under false hope that I wouldn't believe in my self, I would screw everything up and make the world's situation even worse, if I were the "new God" then there would truly be "no hope".

Portraits of liberation

By Jessie Doyle

I think we all have a deep desire to be free, to be truly liberated, I mean no one wants to be an enslaved prisoner forced to be a part of an ever dying system that never made sense to begin with and never will and we need to realize that fact and throw away the old way of thinking and living because it's only getting worse and we as creatures of this planet need to take a step back and realize what is going on, paint a picture of your liberation so to speak and that's what this little collection of letters and words means to me.

Modern mentality

By Jessie Doyle

Is the world we live in and the reality we exist in really real? Or just fragments, bits and pieces of something on a larger plain our simple little minds just cannot grasp the concept, everyone's set in to their own ways and everyone thinks they have it all figured out until the whole plan becomes unraveled and it wasn't what you thought so you start over, once again thinking you have it all figured out "this time" it's the modern mentality of the human race.

A Song for No One

A contemplative, regretful love song from the perspective of someone who is treated like a nobody and wants to acknowledge the people who hurt them the same way.

Zum Songtext

By Maya Barnes

This song is about a new promising love and the feeling it causes. It has a play on drums and the drumming of one's heart when they're in love. It focuses on the hope of a future filled with this type of feeling all the time.
