Personal Cage of Earth

(Jessie Doyle)

Sometimes I feel like we as humans were put on this Earth as some sort of punishment like Earth is a giant prison, a giant cage, trapped here until we figure out what we did to end up here, to figure out what went wrong and fix the error of our ways and our savage nature as violent selfish beings.

(Verse 1) Hiding in my cage, hiding shape and hiding form Waiting breathlessly for the onslaught of the storm Any hopeful light is a handicapped hell hostage Ruffling the silk feathers of your timid weak plans You are torn from the safety of your shell The remains are rancid with a tinge of morbid cells Gone rogue off the grid, a sudden mutation No one saw it coming to destroy our generation The struggle won't let us leave an offering to our future Slim chances of survival, like being left to die. (chorus) How the hell did I manage to fall down here Time eats everyone and time never feeds the fear Marching on commanded by the seconds that become sand I can't help but embrace wonder guided by univeral hands I can't help you discover what you seek You'll find your stolen treasure in a riddle of tongue and cheek No one said this ride was XXXX XXX XXXXXXXX XXX XXX XXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXX XX XXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX XX XX XXXXXXXX XXXX X XXXX XXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXX XXXXX XXXXXXX XX XXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXX XXXX XX XXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXX XX XXXX XXXXX XX XXXXXX XX XXXXX XXXX XXXXXX XXXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XX XXXX XXXXX XXX XXXXX XXXXXX XXX XXXXX XX XXXXX XXXX XXXXX XXX XXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXX XXXXXX XX XXXXXX XXXXXXX XXX

Full house collapse

By Jessie Doyle

When you spend so much time building up a life for yourself and Everytime it falls down, it collapses like a house of cards but come to find out there wasn't anything wrong with what you were doing or have been doing, you were just made to feel like you were doing wrong like you needed to change something but you were secretly falling victim to a system that only allowed you to see what they wanted you to see.

Broken glass attractions

By Jessie Doyle

Wrote this for anyone that has ever stayed in a toxic relationship with the false expectations that the person you think you love will somehow change and start being a better person instead of being evil and doing such awful things to everyone for reasons that will always be unknown.

Invisible camouflage

By Jessie Doyle

I wrote this song to try and express the importance of being who you really are as a human, what your purpose really is, why your here, and to be honest and genuine, you will feel it if you try to force something to try and define you, it won't feel right, it will be a bit off kilter, be you, and only you, don't try to put on invisible camouflage to fit in with the rest of society's rules and regulations, it may be uncomfortable at first and may get down right ugly, but in the long run you will shine bright and stand tall and be proud.

New God, no hope

By Jessie Doyle

I was sitting around thinking that what if out of the blue society and the human race as a whole came under the assumption that you were somehow their new God, the new salvation, the new answer to everything somehow, and as great as that may seem it's something I personally would never ever want the responsibility of dealing with, and regardless of there being any truth or substance to that claim, I would have to decline the opportunity under false hope that I wouldn't believe in my self, I would screw everything up and make the world's situation even worse, if I were the "new God" then there would truly be "no hope".

By Maya Barnes

This song is about a new promising love and the feeling it causes. It has a play on drums and the drumming of one's heart when they're in love. It focuses on the hope of a future filled with this type of feeling all the time.
