Goodbye My Friend

(Valeria Talavera)

This is a song about a best friend leaving you without any explanation. They didn’t even care to tell you what was the problem. You always thought you would be together forever, that this person was your soul mate, but then they turn out to be a completely different person, cold and cruel. They never cared about you at all.

I don’t like your type, You don’t have to worry. I would tell you it’s alright, But you’re just in a hurry. I don’t know why I expected more from you. After all this time, thought your words were true. But i’m mistaken, and I guess that’s my fault, To think that you ever loved me at all. I’m mistaken, and I think that’s my fault, I guess your heart is smaller than I thought. So i’ll take the fall, i’ll say I was the problem, When we both know you didn’t even bother, To call me back, and say you’re sorry. I never got the chance to know your story, Cuz you don’t care, and you never did, To talk to me, you dare forbid. And i’m still here waiting for an explanation. I have to hold, resist the temptation, To ask you, what the hell is wrong with you. You must’ve taken me for a fool. I wanna ask you, what the hell is wrong with you. But it all replays in Deja Vu. I guess this is goodbye my friend. I would say I love you till the end, But we both know that that’s a lie you said to me a thousand times. And I guess this is goodbye my friend. I’ll never be able to comprehend. Can you look at me, to my eyes? Or are you just too scared to try?

Someone Else

By Valeria Talavera

This is a song about loving someone who’s not meant for you, and knowing this, but accepting the fact that you can’t change the way you feel for them. Knowing that the person plays with your feelings because they truly love someone else, but letting them, because you love them too much and it’s better to have a some part of them than nothing.

Opfer der Zeit

By Roland Köhler

THE SILENT EYES OF STATUES

By Grace Ibe

This is like a beauty and the beast story where the only redemption for cruelty is true love. Love begets love. You don't have to force someone to have feelings for you. Besides, ones hasty actions of misconduct may come with repercussions that only true love can save. The statues are the helpless witnesses of this depraved personality.

The Curse

By Tom Barlow

Pity the poor cow, the pig, the chicken, the lobster, born with the curse of being delicious. This comic take on the sad reality of predation makes the point that even the human being can make a sumptuous meal for the right predator.
