Living Life through lifeless times

(Jessie Doyle)

Wrote this with the idea in mind and I don't know if there's any truth to it but it seems like at times everyone around me is lifeless, like I'm living amongst a bunch of living mannequins and trying to find meaning and purpose coexisting with a world filled with dull emotionless robots and trying to connect in some way to something real, something pure, and something positive and loving.

(Verse 1) We've somehow got to find the will to carry on The fire to fight will burn within us Ignited by the sweetness of the dawn We've traveled for so far and so Long The courses unmarked, across the planes of a heart We only wanted to experience happiness Smiles evolve into a long lost form of art The suns golden fingers, reach towards us like the dream To be the hand to guide us To wash humanity clean (Chorus) Once upon a far distant time We were allowed to think freely, And use our subconscious minds Why did you come here, To take us all by surprise? You fooled us with false kindness Forced fed disguised demise I have painfully grown to know, all your many faces They all lack any soul To bury us in our places (Verse 2) XXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXX XX XXXXX XX XXXX XX XXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXXXX XXXXXXX XX XX XXX XXXXXXX XXXXXXX XXX XXXXXXXX XXXX X XX XXXXXXXX XXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX XXXX XXXXX XXXXX XXX XXXX XX XXXXXXX XXXXXX XXXXX XX XXX XX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXX XXXXX XXXXXXX XXXXXXX XX XXXXX XXXXX XXXX XXXXXX XX XXXX XXXXXXX X XXXX XX XXXXXX XXXX X XXXX XX XXXX XX XXXXXXX X XXXX XXXXX XXXXXX XXXX

Personal Cage of Earth

By Jessie Doyle

Sometimes I feel like we as humans were put on this Earth as some sort of punishment like Earth is a giant prison, a giant cage, trapped here until we figure out what we did to end up here, to figure out what went wrong and fix the error of our ways and our savage nature as violent selfish beings.

Full house collapse

By Jessie Doyle

When you spend so much time building up a life for yourself and Everytime it falls down, it collapses like a house of cards but come to find out there wasn't anything wrong with what you were doing or have been doing, you were just made to feel like you were doing wrong like you needed to change something but you were secretly falling victim to a system that only allowed you to see what they wanted you to see.

Broken glass attractions

By Jessie Doyle

Wrote this for anyone that has ever stayed in a toxic relationship with the false expectations that the person you think you love will somehow change and start being a better person instead of being evil and doing such awful things to everyone for reasons that will always be unknown.

Invisible camouflage

By Jessie Doyle

I wrote this song to try and express the importance of being who you really are as a human, what your purpose really is, why your here, and to be honest and genuine, you will feel it if you try to force something to try and define you, it won't feel right, it will be a bit off kilter, be you, and only you, don't try to put on invisible camouflage to fit in with the rest of society's rules and regulations, it may be uncomfortable at first and may get down right ugly, but in the long run you will shine bright and stand tall and be proud.

Drumbeat

By Maya Barnes

This song is about a new promising love and the feeling it causes. It has a play on drums and the drumming of one's heart when they're in love. It focuses on the hope of a future filled with this type of feeling all the time.
