A man like me, well-traveled and worn Reached for the roses, but only grabbed thorns Held it together despite being torn 'Less you count all that falling apart A woman like you, so open to love Looked to push in but only found shove That we found each other, must be God above Who saw us, and knew we shared a heart (Chorus) Seriously, honestly, truthfully I'm thinking that your love was meant for me I toe the line now so easily The man who I was, just a memory Sincerely, genuinely, candidly My eyes are for you, girl, can't you see Sometimes it don't feel real, how can it be Oh, I love you Seriously, honestly, truthfully And I reminisce about those days of old All that time drivin', lost on the wrong road Hoping and longing and thinking my soul Was destined to float on the breeze How I couldn't get right, something was amiss 'Til you found and pulled me out of the abyss How every star shivered from the light of our kiss And I know you feel the same about me (Chorus)

Come Across Like a Cowboy

By Brian Hendrix

Someone with whom I was speaking told me that I can come across a little rough, "like a cowboy," and I had to write that song. I am super excited about how this turned out. It's a really good song. A few notes to anyone who might buy this. It's not going to work in your head unless you get the cadence. "Since I wound up alone" would be two slow syllables: "A-lone." "I don't like this seclusion, baby" - would be a long, drawn out "seclu...sion" "Keeps me whistling time" - the "whistling" is broken down into three slower syllables: whis-ell-en.

Kimberly

By Brian Hendrix

I don't know if there are any songs written about a girl named Kimberly. I just got inspired one night I couldn't sleep, and that line was playing in my head: "Oh, Kimberly, I can't believe..." and so I wrote a song.

Just a fun song about a guy who likes to drink, probably a little too much. No real story behind this. Just a drinkin' song I wrote.

Good friends

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about some really good friends from high school, when we got together at a reunion. These guys were some of the best friends I've ever had, and in about being in high school and some of the best times I've ever had. They were never any worries during my high school days. All I did was have fun, date women, and play a lot of sports. Our futures were all ahead of us, and some made out better than others. But the saying is true that sometimes good friends go awry and they'll always come back to you. Good friends are hard to find. I still stay in touch with a couple of these guys today, and I cherish that relationship.
