She's Your Woman
My newest. Wrote on 2/8/20. About men sheltering the storm with women and their emotions, though going with the flow of it all because, after all, we're just different but still good together. Petty arguments shouldn't derail love. We just have to hold on. Men, just remember that she's your woman. I really like this one. Really touches that country nerve.

Well, it's just like a woman to tell you
That you've been doing it wrong
She'll remember the time you didn't sing
But won't mention none of your songs
All the times your back was her ladder
And you lifted her up to the clouds
She'll dwell on the things that don't matter
Like you're running her into the ground
And you can't believe her...
But you still need her...
(Chorus)
'Cause on the darkest nights
She's a shining sun
And everything you lost
The one thing you won
Was her love
Yeah, boy, it's her love
For all the times she's cried
For that grudge she holds
She still remains your life
The one thing you know
That you love
Yeah, boy, that you love
They'll do what they do and be who they are
But hold on...
Because she's your woman
And you still remember the time that she left you
Ran out the door callin' you names
You sat lost in a cloud of confusion
And not sure how you got the blame
But she came back to you with a sorry
And you were happy to work it all out
You promised that you would do better
And worked hard to remove any doubt
You're happy to see her...
And you still need her...
(Chorus)
For all the things that she still remembers
The more you start to forget
You swear it wasn't on purpose
That just makes her get more upset
But you know how to move with this tango
Realize it always takes two
And just let her come through the emotion
"Baby, you were right, and I love you"
'Cause when you see her...
You know you need her...
(Chorus)
