The Void
The Void (a metaphor for the internet) draws the singer in, consuming their life and molding them into another mindless drone. However, the singer knows they have the power to step away from it and live their life, although they are unsure if they will know how to connect with people offline.

I stare into The Void
He stares back at me
He pulls me deeper in
only ´cause I let him
He does not swallow
just my empty time
He chips away at my brain
He dumbs down my mind
I had some opinions
He turned them into facts
He says I´m always right
but the truth wears no masks
I may believe what He
tells me I should believe
but the world won't be
as He says it is
I only need to look
up from The Void and see
the beautiful life
lying in front of me
I still have a chance
to break free from the chains
that keep me in my place
I am my own jailer
so I can just walk out
of this cave I´m in
I can step away
I can find myself
I can do it today
He takes my spirit
robs it of its spark
now I keep weeping
I wish I could restart
But I wouldn't know
how to shine a light
how to live again
how to connect offline
The Void won´t let me go
He will keep me down
If I don´t wake up
If I don´t turn around
He comes as a friend
He pretends to care
but He is cold as snow
He just wants me there
Looking at him all day
I´m just a number
He may know my name
but not my true face
I am craving something
that He can´t provide
I gotta leave him to
remember I´m alive
I still have a chance
to break free from the chains
that keep me in my place
I am my own jailer
so I can just walk out
of this cave I´m in
I can step away
I can find myself
I can do it today
He takes my spirit
robs it of its spark
now I keep weeping
I wish I could restart
But I wouldn't know
how to shine a light
how to live again
how to connect offline
