I wrote this about an ex of mine. She was pretty much my one and only true girlfriend, so when she broke up with me, it was safe to say I was heartbroken. Basically from the moment she dumped me onwards, I felt like I would never feel that type of love again, and I was so mad at myself for letting her get away. In this song I reminisce on the ups and downs of our relationship, and how after falling out of love, it's as if she didn't see me the way she used to.

Some people are blessings, others are lessons. This song is about someone of the second kind. A lesson that hurt, a lesson learned the hard way, but a lesson nonetheless.
