A bittersweet love song that I always imagined to have an ethereal quality
After leaving one's homeland without saying goodbye, the designated person is struggling with unfinished memories and sentimental longing for his/her home.
It references the idea of coffee making and the enjoyment thereof with something more... sensual?
Centers around an ongoing nightmare I am facing against a very real psychopath. We are currently in Cambodia, and even though we appeared in front of the RCAF, military police, tpright after he physically assualted me ( I have the photos to prove this too) even with all of the hard evidence against him, nothing came of it except the signing of a document stating that we will "stay away from each other", which I respect, but he does not, driving past me on his bike at least 2 times a weeks to shout things at me and to try to provoke me. 10 videos removed from youtube that he posted and illegally put things in the video, 1 video removed from wimeo, and 1 article remove from Cambodia Expat Online where he told such lies about me and pretended to be a Brazilian man, he is not and does NOT have dual citizenship... and he still just keeps going. 8 months of psychological torture and hell.
A very upbeat, fun song. It's one of those that turned out way better than the few lines I was playing with when writing it. It's very folksy-country without being too genre-specific either. Probably one of my favorite choruses I've ever written. It's more of a whimsical story, though a lot of people can still probably relate to love moving really fast. The bridge is also my favorite. I think you'll love it.
