King Henry the VIII

(Howard Aronson)

This is a rock song about King Henry VIII. I just wanted to write something different because I love history especially about nights and the Vikings and that whole era. King Henry was particularly a very vicious and non-caring man. He ruled over his kingdom with an iron thumb, and thought nothing about killing people. His main goal is to conquer as many territories as he possibly could. I think this would make a great hard rock song.

I sit on my golden chair Wearing my gold crown I'll be king till I die Unless someone takes me down I lead many kingdoms I rule with an iron thumb And if you were to cross me Your days would be done Send them to the dungeon Traitors will lose their head Or maybe I'll just torture them For hours on end Yeah, I'm the king of all Kings And on my throne I sit And if you don't like me I really don't give a shit My grandfather was a king And so was my father If you're thinking of overthrowing me Well I wouldn't even bother Send them to the dungeon Traitors will lose their head Or maybe I'll just torture them For hours on end I control a great army Who protects our land If you decide to attack us You'll die at my hands I'm King Henry Vll And I've killed many men And as long as I'm alive I'll do it over and over again Send them to the dungeon Traitors will lose their head Or maybe I'll just torture them For hours on end

The 70's

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about my love of music, particularly rock and roll. The 70s were very influential time for me. It was between the ages of 10 and 19. During that time I was exposed to a lot of great rock and roll bands, and had the opportunity to see many of them live. It would shape my love for music more than any other genre. Today as I write lyrics, many of those bands are inspiring to me. This is also a lyric about the memories that I have going to those concerts, and hanging out with some of my high school friends. We all love music, and we were all exposed to so much of it.

A real massacre

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about living in the past, and all the madness that goes with it. You wake up everyday and all you can think about is yesterday in the mistakes that you made, that can cause a massacre in your life. Think about all the people who you think of contributed to that chaos, but in reality it's your own doing. If somehow you could change your perspective and have more of a winning attitude, close the eyes in the back of your head, you can avoid some of this turmoil.

Day after day

By Howard Aronson

Lyric is about fear, and the monotony of life. Sometimes life is just so groundhog Day like day after day. Sort of like you just aren't a fog and you stumble along. You start to think too much, mostly about your fears. We all have fears it's a matter of whether we confront them or not. If you don't confront your fears you'll just live your life afraid all the time. It's one of the things that I work on every day, as some days I'm in a constant battle with my fear

Hole

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about loneliness, and wanting for someone to love. I'm sure everybody's felt lonely at times even when there's people around. I'm sure everyone felt uncomfortable with themselves even when they're in a comfortable environment, a place you're used to, like home. In these times of loneliness, and longing for love, it's easy to ask why. Unfortunately it's probably no good answer. I know in my case there were times when I could at least speculate why but even people who were fucked up as I was seem to have someone in their life that they could love. And I don't mean your mom or your dad or your sister or even a friend, but am talking about someone you have an intimate and physical relationship with... I guess loneliness is a part of life. It's not a comfortable part, but it's one I have to accept
