Light Beams
I am not sure where we all go when we die. But I bet my last dollar wherever we go we will get there via light beams.

Verse 1.
A widow walks slowly.
The casket is closing.
She knows that her true love
is not coming back.
He'll be buried six feet under.
Laid to rest in quiet slumber.
Until light beams fall down
come to carry him home.
Chorus.
God made light beams
that shine through the darkness.
Luminous lights,
holy and blessed.
They carry our dead
to a far distant place.
And when I die,
I will ride one myself.
Verse 2.
A mother rocks gently.
Her two arms are empty.
She knows that her baby
is not coming back.
Virginia crossed over
after one day of life.
Was glimmering light beams
that carried her home.
Chorus.
God made light beams
that shine through the darkness.
Luminous lights,
holy and blessed.
They carry our dead
to a far distant place.
And when I die,
I will ride one myself.
Bridge.
Dark shadows can't stay.
Gloom and doom won't linger.
The twilight will always
give way to sunlight.
Light beams have waves
that transcend the eternal.
Death clouds spread out
when those waves rain down.
Verse 3.
A young boy drags crying
his best friend who's dying.
Hit by a fast car.
Knows he won't be coming back.
Covers his hound dog
with green leaves and rocks.
Then waits for the light beams
carry him home.
Chorus.
God made light beams
that shine through the darkness.
Luminous lights,
holy and blessed.
They carry our dead
to a far distant place.
And when I die,
I will ride one myself.
