There is always a reason why people do bad things. And it's never their own fault. Blame it on your pain. That seems to work best when you are confronted with the consequences of your action. It worked for me. Then I grew up.

I was scrolling the internet and happened upon a video of a mother shooting, in court, the man who murdered her 7-year-old daughter Anna, after he sexually assaulted her. The look on that mother's face was breathtaking. These lyrics were inspired by that look.

Bankers say real estate is a good investment. And having a mortgage improves your credit score. Wonder what they invest in? To me the whole banking system is corrupt. I wrote these lyrics with banks in mind. It's the pitch of a corrupt banker to a potential investor.

Some people believe that what one human being does can affect another human being. Even if they are great distances apart. These lyrics take that idea and shrink it.

The fiddle is a beautiful instrument. Though it is sometimes referred to as a "saw". The sounds that come from it are themselves quite beautiful.
