Glass is falling
There is something fascinating and compelling about strong characters. Here is a song about just such a one. Although it may be that in this case that strength of character is turning out to be a bit too much of a good thing,

Broken china on the lawn,
Red sky splashed across the dawn,
Storm’s a coming and I can see
It’s coming to a venue right near me,
Chorus:
The glass is falling, true to form,
She’s down in the kitchen cooking up a storm,
Give me shelter, don’t delay,
She’s cooking up a storm and it’s coming my way.
Once upon a time it made me glad
I loved to see her hopping mad,
But now her fury’s weapons-class
And I’m paying too much for the broken glass
Chorus
Spit and spatchcock, sear and stew,
She’s boiling up her witch’s brew
A little bit of bubble and an awful lot of pique,
Served up promptly, seven days a week
Chorus
I used to love the making up,
Sweeping up those coffee cups,
Now every morning brings the rain,
And a little bit later it’s thunder again.
Chorus
Hiding underneath the stairs
It’s good to know that she still cares,
And when she finds out where I’m stowed,
I might find out what winds I sowed.
Chorus
