The songs tells the story of a girl that lived in her own palace of glass, prioritizing transparency over protecting her own feelings. Then, a boy comes along and shatters her by taking advantage of that transparency.

The singer has felt a lot and paid the price for it, and no they don´t want to keep feeling so much to save themselves the pain.

The singer has someone that cares about them but pushes too hard for them to be better, risking pushing the singer away for good. The singer asks that person to give them their space to "go their own way".

The singer is unsure whether they are gonna make it or not and has given up hope, but then the person who supports them comes back, restoring their hope and giving them the strength to go on.
