I know that every day that I was out there I was a gambling man, and I skirted death. But today I'm not willing to gamble my sobriety and I don't really do any gambling in general.
This is a lyric about never being able to find the true love that my heart and mind desires. There's been times when I think I was afraid to go up to somebody and tell them that I like them or thought they were beautiful or even just to ask them if they were single and ask if they want to go out on a date. One day I think I'll have the courage, or maybe the good fortune of finding that woman. I guess I just have to leave it up to fate, hope that organically it happens.
