For Nell and Ludlow “Lud” Thorston. Loud was a prominent water colorist who passed a few years ago at 92. He loved to listen to “The Divine One”, Ms. Sarah “Sassy” Vaughn while he painted. One day, in 1990, upon completing a beautiful water color of a sand dune, he heard that Ms. Vaughn had passed away. With tear filled eyes he came down the steps from his studio and told his darling wife Nell. He named his painting SARAH.

I didn't have much of anything deep or meaningful in mind when I wrote this. It's a love song, particularly about heartbreak, and I just wanted to try a new take on it and try to make a catchy love song that was a little deeper than the initial words on the page.
