Old people in care homes with no chance against Covid-19. Presidents inciting insurrections, despots who could fire nuclear weapons if he has a bad day. China wanting to impose control over Hong Kong and Taiwan. It is never ending and through it all we survive.

The lyrics describe a woman who is agonizingly in a deep downward depression. She relates her depression to that of someone who is drowning, it causes her further panic attacks, fear, and hopelessness. It is a spiral that may end in taking her own life.

A story about a girl who grew up watching those old western movies as a kid, and now that she's grown up and looking for love, she can't seem to find it because she refuses to settle for any man who's not just like those old western heroes like Clint Eastwood.
