Sometimes we need a place to shelter. The storm we hide from may be physical or it may be emotional but a place of refuge is what we need when the frozen winds scream down on us.

Living with someone who lies is hard. These lyrics explore the frustration of being kept on the outside looking in.

(n)Ever is about a person being abused and is helpless to do anything about it. I wrote in the perspective mindset of victim and oppressor to meld the story telling. "You" is about to people clearly needing help. One is overly depended on the other. Things take a turn for the worst as one gives up! Leaving the other to pickup up the broken pieces. Very sad, indeed. Classic AABB with AAAA refrain. Preferred genres: Alternative Metal

"Far Away" is about dealing with a loveone's personal demons. Being there for them in their time of need but feeling they are slipping further away. Everyone know someone that they want to see conquer their strongholds. Classic ABAB Verse/Chorus dynamic with bridge. Preferred genres: Alternative Metal
