I’m sat here on Christmas day I know it’s hard for you to get away I keep looking at the phone The silence tells me; I’m all alone I try to think of better things The thought of you makes my heart sing You’re my world my everything But still my phone; it don’t ring I look around at the things we share I’m your part time love but do you care You to me are everything I’m still here but my phone don’t ring Maybe you will call by today Or call me up with a few words to say I’m sat here; I can only pray That I’m not alone on Christmas day I look across at my silent phone It’s so hard to be alone I wish there was another way This is such a high price to pay It’s been a long and lonely day The tears I’ve cried have gone away A part-time lover has got no say And tomorrow’s just another day

Opfer der Zeit

By Roland Köhler
