Invisible camouflage

(Jessie Doyle)

I wrote this song to try and express the importance of being who you really are as a human, what your purpose really is, why your here, and to be honest and genuine, you will feel it if you try to force something to try and define you, it won't feel right, it will be a bit off kilter, be you, and only you, don't try to put on invisible camouflage to fit in with the rest of society's rules and regulations, it may be uncomfortable at first and may get down right ugly, but in the long run you will shine bright and stand tall and be proud.

(Verse 1) What I display on my outer shell is nothing but artificial We blew through life set on a crash course, like suicidal missiles You gave the magic back to life, your fearless you will never run Your mind is loosely wired like a homemade atom bomb Your spontaneous and unpredictable and that's what makes you beautiful You are not afraid and never will be to bleed your true colors You're as rare as an angels kiss and I love you like no other. (Chorus) I refuse to camofluage my scars I refuse to satisfy the craving I refuse to live a life that isn't anything but worth saving You taught me to never play victim never take blame for others mistakes I'm in charge of my destiny, don't rely on the hands of fate Realize that there's no end , life goes on beyond time Embrace the moment bathed in gold, it's our time to shine, we are all so devine. New God, no hope

By Jessie Doyle

I was sitting around thinking that what if out of the blue society and the human race as a whole came under the assumption that you were somehow their new God, the new salvation, the new answer to everything somehow, and as great as that may seem it's something I personally would never ever want the responsibility of dealing with, and regardless of there being any truth or substance to that claim, I would have to decline the opportunity under false hope that I wouldn't believe in my self, I would screw everything up and make the world's situation even worse, if I were the "new God" then there would truly be "no hope".

Portraits of liberation

By Jessie Doyle

I think we all have a deep desire to be free, to be truly liberated, I mean no one wants to be an enslaved prisoner forced to be a part of an ever dying system that never made sense to begin with and never will and we need to realize that fact and throw away the old way of thinking and living because it's only getting worse and we as creatures of this planet need to take a step back and realize what is going on, paint a picture of your liberation so to speak and that's what this little collection of letters and words means to me.

Modern mentality

By Jessie Doyle

Is the world we live in and the reality we exist in really real? Or just fragments, bits and pieces of something on a larger plain our simple little minds just cannot grasp the concept, everyone's set in to their own ways and everyone thinks they have it all figured out until the whole plan becomes unraveled and it wasn't what you thought so you start over, once again thinking you have it all figured out "this time" it's the modern mentality of the human race.

My satellite dreams

By Jessie Doyle

Wow, this is an awesome song that like most lyrics that I write start off as two words and a seed of an idea that somehow takes a life of its own, basically the concept I had for this song is that our dreams are always in motion and orbit our lives and own personal universes and we may forget about those dreams and put them on the back burner but they're still there, suspended in time and ready for you as a human and free thinking individual to bring those dreams to life if they truly are meant to be.

Drumbeat

By Maya Barnes

This song is about a new promising love and the feeling it causes. It has a play on drums and the drumming of one's heart when they're in love. It focuses on the hope of a future filled with this type of feeling all the time.
