just left school we were sent to fight in jungles in the dark of night fighting this war for Uncle Sam we're just dogs of war in Vietnam we find no victory in this place no smiles for us on any face don't know what or who to believe they just want us to leave roam their streets in battle green we're to easy to be seen stand out like a beacon light an easy target in a deadly fight in the jungle with open eyes always awaiting the next surprise thought we had them on the run when told it's over this war is done no glory for us when we returned protesters our flag they burned don't know what gives them the right they weren't there they didn't fight just left school we were sent to fight in jungles in the dark of night fighting this war for Uncle Sam we're just dogs of war in Vietnam

Opfer der Zeit

By Roland Köhler
