I work all day for bills I can't pay nothing left for me to get by got two jobs no time for myself this can't go on til I die my life is nothing but strife theres got to be a way to survive a life of sin or a lottery win would certainly keep me alive hold up a bank to fill up my tank maybe thats the way to ride crazy days live life in a haze go out like bonnie and clyde or get numbers right on lottery night that would certainly change a few things get a new car for my old grandpa get my wife some diamond rings but til then I'll try again to keep myself out of the red work has no end drives me around the bend then I go home and collapse in my bed I work all day for bills I can't pay nothing left for me to get by got two jobs no time for myself this can't go on til I die

Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Art deutsche Version der Songs "Victims" und "Time" von Culture Club. Dieser Text entstand auf der Rückfahrt von Schladming im Oktober 2012, wo mir in einem kleinen Tal der Tod begegnet war. Oben war es schön warm, in diesem Tal schlagartig eiskalt und frostig und ich war überzeugt den Tod zu spüren. Dort kam mir die Melodie zu "Victims" in den Sinn und schrie verlangend nach einem deutschen Text. In der darauffolgenden Nacht kam eine Freundin von mir nach einem Herzanfall ins Krankenhaus. Sie hat es überlebt, ich habe ihr diesen Song gewidmet.
