Gypsy Darlin'
About a man who meets a woman in his youth and really becomes infatuated with her, only to find out that she's actually a prostitute. He doesn't want to believe it, because he really cares about her, but he comes to learn it's the truth, yet he still has feelings for her regardless.

She'd drop in selling her wares
From her mama's big ol' tent
I met her once as a younger man
And thought about her ever since
Her hair was dark as midnight
Looked like sunshine stole her eyes
A crooked smile upon her face
Like she had something to hide
(Chorus)
And all the men called her Gypsy Darlin'
And they'd chase her all the time
Said if you wanted to get closer to her
Well, just bring you a dime
But, me, I never saw her that way
They're just rumors and lies
But my surprise to find she really was a lady of the night
Oh, Gypsy Darlin...
I 'bout broke down and cried
Every season brings its changes
Every change has its own use
'Cept that fiar-skinned gypsy lady
Who can't break from the abuse
I saw her back there by her tent
It was just the other day
Smile as pretty as it ever was
With her black hair turnin' gray
(Chorus)
The clock it spins around and 'round
But her time stays the same
I guess she'd never settle down
She's just too wild to tame
But there's some grand ol' mystery
That glows right through her skin
After all these years I'm still intrigued
While the men come back again
(Chorus)
