I Can't Find the Words
It's hard to compliment someone sometimes or to tell someone how you really care. You can think of the words but often can't say them. This is just a song about that.

Your love is like a flower
Nah, let's scribble that out
Hell, girl, I'm not too sure what I'm even writin' down
Maybe you're like good medicine
Could be my saving grace
Forget I even thought that, now I'm all red in the face
How'd them poets do this; I'm not sure
Got so many things to tell you, but I can't find the words
(Chorus)
And I can't find the words to say I love you
Not too many rhyme well with your name
Like the sun that makes the halo shine above you
I can't do you justice, and that's a shame
Many men have spoken so damn high about your eyes
Armies, legions, batteries, 'cause they all recognized
What you're worth...
I do too, I just can't find the words
Maybe I'll get a whiskey
I write better when I'm drunk
I'll probably just pass out and wake up back in a funk
Turn on a few old love songs
And see what they inspire
Now I'm jealous how they did it, should never have inquired
Break out my pad of adjectives and verbs
Stare at it for hours, and I still can't find the words
(Chorus)
(Bridge)
Some are short, some are long
Some are hard to spell
But none I find fit in this song
To sing to you, oh well...
(Chorus)
