I’m looking at myself outside of myself I had to break out of my upside down universe I had to break the curse that I put on her I had to make this girl right again But I think I’ve always been some kind of alien And I had to visualize some kind of outer body experience To notice I have distorted lenses and I believed the south star When I should have listened to my own heart On the other end it’s my north star And I had to pick myself back up again after heading for miles in the wrong direction I reflected on my reflections through the mirror in my mind I had a devil’s eye and my inside and outside world were both hell I had to see it for myself that I was under.. a wicked spell I’m locked in.

Mirrors & Minds (Devil’s Eye Remix)

By Erika Poling

So basically, this piece of writing is trying to capture looking at oneself in a mirror, through the mind's eyes, and from another person's point of view. It's still a work in progress. The idea to combine creativity, the laws of physics, and creative writing to express both my right and left side of the brain. It's not an easy thing. Seeing yourself, while being used to 1st and 2nd person perspective writing, and then adding 3rd person perspective lyrics (about yourself; well myself) can get confusing and contradictory. It is a perfect representation of my mirrored self. ?????????

I Gotta Tell You

By Karianne Gabaldon

These lyrics are about me trying to express my feelings for a guy I’ve been talking to. He calls me babe and tells me he wants me, but doesn’t want to be exclusive. I really want him as more than a friend with benefits and I know it’s hard for me to have relationships but somehow I feel this will be the end of my searching. Now I just have to tell the guy how I feel, which is very hard considering I don’t want to jeopardize what we already have. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it and if you’re going through the same predicament, feel free to buy it!
