Wild Mind
A song about the overwhelming fear of a looming apocalypse which takes over the subject's mind to the point of insanity. Although the subject's concerns are deemed unwarranted by many, they insist that deep down other people are feeling the same and that it isn't just them that senses an upcoming crisis or major world event.

(Verse 1)
Looking out of my window
I feel a danger I'm yet to know
I'm planted into solid ground
The wind is still, I can't hear a sound
But I can see the rain tonight
Pouring in the dim streetlights
Time is real, time is free
But somehow time is all that I need
(Chorus)
I'm counting the days, turning away
From a world that's never been kind
But I know what they'll say, "nothing has changed"
"It's just your wild mind"
(Verse 2)
Alarms are ringing in my head
From an article I just read
I hear them when I fall asleep
They haunt my nights, they render me weak
In the streets where phantoms lie
Other people that pass me by
Tell me that they hear them too
"There's not much difference between me and you"
(Chorus)
I'm counting the days
I'm turning away
From a world that's turning us blind
But I can still see, and others agree
It's not my wild mind
(Verse 3)
Someone's knocking at my door
Someone's spreading fear of war
He sold his life for all it's worth
To start a new one under the earth
So I'll shut myself in today
And let it all just drift away
There's no point trying to comprehend
When others just sit back and pretend
(Chorus)
I'm counting the days
I'm turning away
From a gold dust warning sign
But now it's too late, so just sit and wait
For troubles just like mine
