John Hanover

Hanover, is a professional artist and his writings can be described as very visual. Having the mindset of a visual artist, always looking to experiment with form and imagery. Why say the sun is setting or rising ( which is fine ) when you can say it’s a burning rose shedding its pedals of lights as an example.
Having come back to writing, starting off his Poetry journey by writing lyrical style poems he managed to get two of them published in 2006 EA’s “ Brother My Cup “ published out of Germany. Exploring the world of poetic forms, learning their rules and giving him a better understanding of how rhymes work. Hanover has even created his own forms with both complex and easy structures and rhyme schemes.
Explore, expand, or edit are the main criteria for his writings. Anything from minimal and quick to complex and epic.

It’s almost summer. Sometimes just barely describing something as simple as a Ferris Wheel I hope revives sweet memories in the listener. Just a quick and minimal offering, can always expand and edit to the arrangement’s needs.
Based off a picture, and vivid memories of sparklers ( lightweight fireworks ), with a twist about a shared moment. The rhyme scheme for verses is near rhymes.
Written for the Kinnor Harp, but could be adapted to any other stringed instrument. Trying to write original, and positive lyrics for all to at least temporarily put their troubles aside and escape. If it rekindles fond memories of hiking even better.
Inspired by the wild horses of the Southwestern and Western USA, Poland, and Mongolia. This is also an early experiment with a rhyme scheme similar to other forms of poetry in repetition of lines. As with all my writings, I can edit as needed or work out a melody to suit any genre.
With the flexibility to be Alternative, Pop, or even Country. Inspired by 60’s and 70’s Cult Horror classics dealing with Voodoo but with a modern twist. This is a quick “ demo “ version of lyrics, if a more complex arrangement is needed or preferred just let me know.
