Joyce Trudeau has been writing poetry for years, but there has always been a song rolling around in her head. It didn't crystalize because she needed an emotional impetus. She found that impetus and has projected it into her lyrics. Her devotion to rhythm and rhyme lends itself well to song lyrics. Joyce likes to experiment with different themes - funny, upbeat, downbeat, love, and you done me wrong themes, trying to present the subject from a unique angle. She's always lending her music to a country vibe, but it can be adapted to different vibes. She longs to hear her lyrics put to music, but that is not her talent. So, for now, she writes the words.
