Dead Roses

(Karianne Gabaldon)

These lyrics are about psychosis and trying to escape the inner demons in their minds and what lies inside their darkness. It’s very deep and dark, but it’s perfect for those with psychosis.

(Verse 1) My brain, Can’t contain, All the love the world has to offer me. Insane, Is my name, Or what they seem to like to call me. I lie, Here inside, My mind that hides in haunted houses. That’s why, I don’t try, To tell them what I think about me. I can’t, Understand, Why my fucked up mind inside me cries. Or why, It chose me, I guess I’m the kind to rot away and die. (Pre Chorus) I’m shaking from this, I just gotta quit, This horrific shit. But I can’t, it’s my mind, Controlling all the time, It won’t spare a dime, For my soul. I’d tell you that Im trying to take control... (Chorus) But I never had the chance, To save my mind’s last dance. I fell too hard, It left me scarred. And I’ll try and try again, But I swear this is the end. My mind, it is frozen, Inside lies a bed of dead roses. (Verse 2) The dead, Calls my name, And it’s skeletal sounds haunting from the grave. I live, Life this way, The echoes of the spirits raise. The ghosts, They have most, Of my ripped of pieces in brainless matter. Demons, On the run, I’m out of breath, they catch me, falls the ladder. Explore, Me some more, And find that one day you’ll be the same way. So just, Watch, you must. Watch out for zombies aiming on their prey. (Pre Chorus) This gets to me, So easily. Impossible, you see. Nobody understands, How hard it is and, I’m sinking in the sand, I’m running away from a man. I try to reach out to you with my hand... Dizzy Diamond

By Karianne Gabaldon

This song was inspired by Taylor Swift’s “Gorgeous” from her Reputation album. It’s about someone wanting someone so bad but there’s nothing that she can do about it. They met over Facebook, barely even said ten words to each other, and live states and states away. But she knew she’d fall for him just by looking at his picture. She has a keen sense of love, especially because all of the rejection she’s had made her more keen.

Winter Sky

This song is about someone being left in the cold from a frozen love; metaphorically speaking, of course. But this is her wanting him back, wanting her summer sun back.

Fighting The Flask

By Karianne Gabaldon

This is about an alcoholic man who decides to get help. He had realized that the booze world wasn’t for him and he knew he was fatally fading, so he put down the alcohol and never looked back. I’d say it’s pretty inspirational for those struggling with addiction.

LoveTrip

By Karianne Gabaldon

A second version of Tripping On My Love. It’s the same meaning and the same topic, just extended and with different lyrics. This one is a little more fun. They’re both pretty upbeat if you want them to be, but this one has a little more umph.

Maß aller Dinge

By Georg Wagner (GeWa)

Egal, welches Maß man anwendet. Ob Hohlmaß, Zeitspanne oder Längenmaß. - Jesus bleibt immer das Maß aller Dinge. Dieses Lied kann man sehr schön mit dem Gospel-Chor einstudieren.
