Tabernacle Debacle
In Tabernacle Debacle we see not a total absence of faith but a lack there of. And a admittance of a higher power though the character may feel alone. This person had high faith just like the character in my piece called The Thorn of Misery. But there's a struggle within. A struggle that becomes even more apparent because there isn't an answer readily available to the character (or so he or she thinks!). The very fact that this being had woke up is proof enough! But this isn't meant to be happy. I was inspired by death doom metal when I wrote this piece. Not so much poetic like some of my other pieces. Just in your face death doom. Think early work from the like of My Dying Bride. No rhyme scheme. I envision harsh gutteral vocals:)

The deepest of my very prayers returned void
A serpent gathers as it hisses, I couldn't avoid
Judas faith. Prayers are dead birds.
Tilt the scale weigh in my pain
Apostasy in my eyes
Truth cripples hope unashamed
I'm walking in the dead ov night, through a snowy field
Every flake on the ground resembles my soul
As I walk this frozen barren sea
My temple flesh oh so defiled
My hope, an unattended saint
Who's god will I give my thanks?
I mean, look where all this faith has led
Worse than a dry well is a well frozen instead
Faith! Like a widow from dead husband?
Faith! Like a mother with dying children?
Rebuke me if You dare!
I've no belief in whirlwinds
No holy chariots ov fire
No doves descending from You
No angels in Heavenly choir
No cloth in empty tombs
Though I dare to wake again
Somehow
