Waiting in my motor outside your school 18 years old you were nobody's fool you wanted to leave this hick town head out west with hood right down you had big dreams belly full of fire beautiful woman a mans desire all the world you wanted to see and you wanted to do it with me you wanted to see the bright lights beach bum days and Hollywood nights you wanted it all and wanted it today you had the dream, wouldn't go away so we drove down to the west coast ate ice cream lived on tea and toast sunny days it was great no doubt everything changed when the money ran out slept in the car under the stars looked for work in the cafes and bars in the end, we had to agree this wasn't where we were meant to be scraped together some dollars for gas no good pretending to be some bad ass it's time for us to be moving on living on dreams til they're all gone

Opfer der Zeit

By Roland Köhler
