Grandpa and Me
My grandpa was my best friend, a second dad to me. I was born on his birthday so we were close since the first day. When he passed away I was 10 years old and it crushed me. I wrote this for him to remember the good times we had together.

"Grandpa and Me"
Written By- Brandon M. Scruggins
(First Verse)
Sittin on the porch back in 92.
Listening to the rain hit that ole tin roof.
He was my hero, a husband, a father, a brother, a soldier in World War Two.
I remember sitting on your knee..
You never said much,
but it was always enough to me.
(Chorus)
Grandpa and me...
When the going gets tough..
Your voice was all I needed to pick me up.
What I wouldn't do to see you one more day.
Another photograph inside my memory..
Of grandpa and me......
(Second Verse)
There are still times when I want to break.
I can't figure out why you were taken away.
Every time I hear that rain pouring down.
It's like a heartache I never want to drown.
Your a part of me in everything I do...
When I look in the mirror I see you...
(Repeat Chorus 2x's)
When my kids ask
Pointing at our photographs
Who is he?
That's grandpa and me.......
