Music For The Dance
A classic-style love song that I wrote some time ago. Just now getting around to posting it. It has a lot of personal meaning for me, and maybe this sort of sentiment has personal meaning for a lot of people. It's good from a guy's or girl's perspective. No specific pronouns.

I see the sunrise in the morning
Fade out behind your smile
And the symphony of birds and bees
Join in after awhile
This endless melody we're pickin'
I dare say, it's not by chance
That timeless lovers found each other
To make music for the dance
(Chorus)
It's been a long while in the making
But it was written in the stars
That we would meet over the ages
Across all time to join our hearts
I know no other explanation
'Cept to say it all was planned
That me and you would join as two
To make music for the dance
I wonder 'bout years now forgotten
How many loved like us
What'd the first man think who found some ink
To write a verse down about love
The first strings plucked by moonlight
Subtle tones, a blissful trance
We're not the first, won't be the last
To make music for the dance
(Chorus)
(Bridge)
And forever isn't always
Without you by my side
It's your soul that hits those notes
And plays so in tune with mine
It'll echo for all time...
(Chorus)
