Time Is
Was just feeling creative one night in Notepad. The chorus would be the one line between verses. I think it's a decently written song. It's quite descriptive.

Time is a woman, soft and warm
And when she leaves, she don't come back
Makes you feel loved when she's in the mood
Though you can't direct her track
She'll hurt you more the longer you stay
Try to slow it all down, and she'll still slip away
Time is an old beating heart
Time is a sunset, makes the sky glow
In shades of magenta and orange
You can view it from pictures, can't replay the sky
You feel it cooling down as you long
The night sets in and the clouds turn to gray
In a while you can't see what's in front of your face
Time is the ember; it fades
Time is the ocean, the waves they move
Never settle, they ripple and swell
Deep or the shallows, the warm and the cold
A dichotomy heaven and hell
You can't drink it in but you'd think that you could
Doesn't belong to you, except for to look
Time is the salt in the brine
Time is the wind and it blows past you
Sometimes you don't notice at all
A cooling embrace in your summer of life
Chills you to the bone come the fall
In the winter it all feels too cold to stand
But before you can warm it's blown right on past
Time is a dandelion on the breeze
Time is a ghost some say don't exist
And you can't separate it from space
An illusion that keeps us all trapped in its arms
Though a reality we all must face
It won't wait for you, imagined or real
It don't care if you notice nor care how you feel
Time is the beginning of light
