You and me Aren’t we something? Two very different people Who happen to be in love Look at us now Somehow we made it this far After all, I’m who I am And you’re who you are You and your heartstrings Me and my frowns A curious pair Dancing on air Trying to keep our feet on the ground Through it all Everyday we find a way To cry through the heartbreak To laugh at the rain To hope and to live To love and forgive All over again So here we are You’re still you and I’m still me Somehow we’re still together Aren’t we something? Look at us now With our feet on the ground Such a curious pair After all that we’ve shared Look what we found And everyday we find a way To cry through the heartbreak And laugh at the rain To hope and to live To love and forgive Again and again Look at us now You and me Aren’t we something? Two very different people Who just happen to be Still so much in love

Dear AJ

By Christopher Van Name

For Alexander "AJ" Betts, Jr., from Des Moines, Iowa. Another teenage victim of suicide back in 2013. Like Tyler Clementi, Channing Smith, Sara Hegazy and countless others before and after, he was lost in the flood of hatred caused by fear and ignorance, after being outed, shamed and bullied for being gay. LGBTQ (our propensity to label people continues to fuel its own dysfunctional form of prejudice) teens are 4x more likely to kill themselves than teens who are not labeled so. Every 45 seconds, a person who has been labeled LGBTQ, between the ages of 13-24 in this great, accepting and empathetic country of ours, Attempts to take their own life. A worldwide pandemic, an opioid epidemic, world discord, assault weapons and mass murders, hunger, oppression, greed and avarice running rampant, and we allow the flower of our youth to take their own lives because they're not accepted as part of the so called "norm"? Shame on us. I wrestled with my approach on this one. I tried to imagine AJ's mother's anguish and despair. In the end, I went with lyrics written as a series of imaginary letters from mother to son. I'm sure no words of mine can do this tragic and on-going criminality any justice. Pray one day we wake up.

Sunday Morning Going Home

By Free Deeks

After the excitement of a lively Saturday night there's the come down. After saying goodnight to your friends and acquaintances, making your way back to where you live your thoughts might turn to last night and tomorrow. Contemplation on the way things are going and the way things might be going. The afterglow hangover.

Through Your Eyes

By Annabel Chima

This lyric was also inspired by Mariah Carey's 2005 song, 'We Belong Together'. I wanted to capture the dramatic emotions of feeling like you are close to a breaking point or even close to death - surviving and rising from what could have broken you. This lyric describes the unbreakable bond between two lovers; they would be willing to do anything to save each other, as they share a bond so deep, they see life through each other's eyes. The vibes/atmosphere is very romantic, deep, hopeful, and triumphant. There is a spiritual element to it also. Genres: Pop, Indie/Rock, Ballads.
