Just Friends

(Howard Aronson)

This lyric is about the dreaded words just friends. No guy wants to be put into the friend zone. Whether you get a chance to date the girl, or she immediately determines that you're just friends and put you in the friend zone it's never easy to hear those words. My last relationship was with a woman that I fell in love with but I could see it coming that we were only going to be just friends. Today we are very close as friends, and she is engaged to get married. We share a beautiful dog together and our friendship is very unique and special. There were times when I know I wouldn't have made it without her support. Sometimes things are just meant to be that way and we weren't meant to be a couple, we were meant to be a couple of friends. This lyric is kind of about that, but it's more about the hurt that somebody feels when they're told that they just want to be friends.

I heard you loud and clear When you said "just friends"... And with those words I knew it was the end It wasn't easy To accept my new role My heart was left empty And so was my soul Darlin' I thought our love was forever That we'd spend our lives together Darlin' I thought our love was forever That we'd spend our lives together Now I'm not blind I saw this coming Baby I tried To keep you from running Was our love real Or just a dream To me, baby You were my sunbeam Darlin' I thought our love was forever That we'd spend our lives together Darlin' I thought our love was forever That we'd spend our lives together I'd do anything Say anything want Yeah, I'd do anything To turn you on I'd do anything Say anything want Yeah, I'd do anything To turn you on Darlin' I thought our love was forever That we'd spend our lives together Darlin' I thought our love was forever That we'd spend our lives together I heard you loud and clear When you said "just friends"... And with those words I knew it was the end It wasn't easy To accept my new role My heart was left empty And so was my soul Darlin' I thought our love was forever That we'd spend our lives together Darlin' I thought our love was forever That we'd spend our lives together

Time has passed me by

By Howard Aronson

This is a lyric about my life, and how time has begun to pass me by. In fact it already has according to me. I can't do the things I used to do when I was younger even though I wish I could I know that I can't at this point in my life. I couldn't tell you about them in detail. Time can be cruel, time can make you look like a fool but one thing's for sure you can't stop time

Don't put your hand up

By Howard Aronson

This song is about a lack of respect. It's about a person that doesn't take advice doesn't listen and thinks they're always right. You know one of those people that puts their hand up in your face and says talk to the hand. Nothing pisses me off and that kind of ignorance and disrespect. I know that I probably shouldn't waste my breath to try to help that person or talk to them like a human being and an adult but I wasn't brought up that way. I have a caring heart, and I'm always willing to help somebody, even if they say they don't want it, most times deep down inside they do. But there's that occasion when someone doesn't want to listen even though they know they should. Don't put your hand up is a lyric about that type of person

I wish I could be with you

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is a breakup lyric. It leaves a person in total sadness, and disbelief. They reminisce about all the good times, and thought they would never end. This is a person they will never forget, and the pain will always be in the back of their mind. They asked themselves so many questions, that will go unanswered. This happens all too often in relationships that don't end well. There's always one person that seems to be devastated by the breakup.

Traffic Stop

By Howard Aronson

Lyric is about a corrupt police officer, and about all the false arrests, and illegal traffic stops, based on race. Racial profiling is rampant amongst the police in the United States today. Somebody gets pulled over for a broken tail light or the windows are tinted a little too much and it turns into violence it's ridiculous. Most of these people that are pulled over are African-American, or some other minority. There's no mistaking that these cops could have handled things better. In this lyric it talks about a girl who took her boyfriend back, and he's a corrupt cop. Why would she ever turn the cheek the other way to go out with this guy
