Blackout
This song is about a person trying to tell their psychiatrist that the meds they’re on is killing them, literally. And that person is trying to think of the best way to figure out how to tell her. This is a song that raises awareness towards antipsychotic medications and it’s side effects. Antipsychotic medications are worse than most people think. Many die or have serious problems from them. And this person is experiencing severe issues from the meds.

(Verse 1)
My brain is fried from medication,
I need to fight this sensation.
How weird I feel,
What is the deal?
How do I get this banana to peel?
I can’t...
I can’t...
My doctor just keeps upping my meds,
She doesn’t get it just fucks with my head.
I need to be fixed,
Yeah, people are dicks.
I just need to get away from these pricks.
But I can’t...
Oh, I can’t...
(Pre Chorus)
How do you know how bad you are,
When you have a permanent mental scar?
How do you know when your timing is off,
When all you do is sit around waiting for when you’re going to off?
(Chorus)
The meds make me insecure,
Weight gain for sure,
There is no cure,
For me.
Don’t you see?
I’m so far from gone,
I party with no one,
Except myself,
I need help.
Oh, fix me.
Please fix me...
(Verse 2)
My physical symptoms aren’t great,
And neither is my mental state.
How I just,
Want to cuss,
The doctor out.
She puts me on many pills,
Enough to probably kill.
It makes me,
Truly,
Blackout.
She keeps me away from,
Demons and their drums,
Marching down the street,
In the ash full sleet,
Yeah I’m so weak.
