Danger

(Karianne Gabaldon)

A song I wrote about a mentally ill person who hates himself and brings himself down constantly; but I personally think he’s the most amazing thing on earth and if he could just see it… he’s so beautiful; so loving…

(Verse 1) You were thought up so perfectly God created you so cautiously Your deep, brown eyes Have met mine. You say these things that just aren’t true You talk shit, talk bad about you But baby, see You’ve got me. (Chorus) And it’s danger I’m feeling This danger, crash into me. (Verse 2) Your endless ends and my hopeless hopes Are enough to sink a boat I’m drowning now Take a bow. I’m sorry life is so cruel sometimes But we can make it, just you and I Let’s do this thing Freedom, ring. Okay so hon, you are ill Well, baby, so am I Together we’ll have to deal Face all our fears in life ‘Cause I feel a voltage Bring it on! (Chorus) And it’s danger I’m feeling This danger, crash into me. Angel In The Fire

By Stanley Chris

The song is a poetic expression of love for someone the persona thinks is the most special person to them. In Verse 1 he refers to her as "a woman like no other" (line 2) and in Verse 2 as "a woman who is more than gold" (line 2). She is a woman who has embraced him the way he is, with all his flaws and he terms her "a place where my demons are overcome" (Verse 1 line 2), and "a place where my failures are overthrown (Verse 2 line 2). She is a shoulder to lean on and is presently available during tough times as captured in the Bridge. The Chorus employs the use of Biblical allusion by referencing the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and how they were supernaturally delivered from the fiery furnace by an angel of God. She apparently has an infectious smile that calms nerves with an unusual ease (Chorus line 2). The last two lines of the Chorus express the persona's commitment to abide by her until death does them apart in keeping with the vows the two had earlier taken during their wedding.
