Trapped like a prisoner in an iron maiden,
My minds the guard and my life's slowly fading,
Like a rat in a maze, a fly in a jar,
A caged bird I ain't moving too far

It's like i'm walking the dark and feeling my way,
Not seeing the world, not living today,
Blinded by the judgement of society,
Held back by agonising anxiety,

My soul is crying out for life to begin,

I see the light but I don't feel the warmth,
I'm miles away from finding my home,
I've got the passion, i've got the drive,
This mental barrier means i'm having to strive,

I'm forcing forward, trying not to look back,
But memories surround me of what's in the past,
Trying to get it all out of my head,
But it seems my thoughts are easily lead,
