An snap shot of my long life encompassed by running. The weariness, memories, and joys along the way

Running man in early morning, running man when stars are bright
Running man on snowy mornings, running man on summer nights
I have run with groups of twenty, I have run when it's just me
I have run in times of sorrow and it always sets me free
Running man up in the Rockies, running man on trails of Pre
Running man in Arizona, and and sands of Hawaii
I have scorched the Lakes of Minny with fast jackals in a pack
I've been lost in Colorado and found my world was black
Running man from life's confusion, running man on roads or track
Running man from age and sickness, running man don't give a damn
I've been searching for life's answers, but uphill's a heavy load.
I can't run from life forever cuz my journey's getting old.
Running man along the river, running man's against the flow
Running man on endless highways and these fast legs movin slow
Well I've run a thousand races, grabbed some trophies for awhile
But the memories and the friendships are the reason I still smile.
Running man still loves the mile, but life's road's a Marathon
Running man has hit the real wall will you help him carry on
When I count the cost of love and runs, neither one is free.
But I'm out the door tomorrow chasing running destiny
