I danced with the devil and I burnt myself
the devil had a dance to hot fer me to take
she lit the floor with her boots on fire
she was raging hot full of pure desire
need to learn this dance so I took myself away

found myself a rundown bar
where a duke box stood on a wooden floor
perfect place for me to learn my moves
so I danced a hundred night and days
till I felt the heat and I saw the flames
and the smoke was rising from my dancing boots

so I walked right up to the gates of hell
she was standing there with her blazing hair
she said to me do you think you stand a chance
said I've been away and I've learnt my trade
I'm back again I want to make amends
so come on girl I need to burn myself again

we start to dance and I held on tight 
there was a burning love it was dynamite
there was sound of thunder coming from the floor
well I cant describe whet I felt inside
my heart was hit with a lightning strike
and the flames around weren't burning anymore

since I learnt to dance that dance
I earned the right to the devils hand
but we got so hot that we had to change our ways
cos every time we took the floor 
it turned into a fireball
when the devils dance it all goes up in flames
