I long for times of clear traffic lanes And the noise of old steam trains Memories that seem better looking back The days are gone when kids played in the sun Laughter and you know they're having fun We've turned the page to the computer age And we know that the good old days are done I long for times of clear traffic lanes And the noise of old steam trains Memories that seem better looking back Strange when they think they're not alone They've got buddies on the phone Someone they can call up anytime night or day They call strangers in the night Just so they can have a fight No need to worry it's alright It's a cause for their delight And as they prepare to go to war You then hear them through the door Fighting battles clocking up the score From their cushioned bedroom floor I long for times of clear traffic lanes And the noise of old steam trains Memories that seem better looking back They spend their days staring at a screen Living their lives in a movie scene Fantasy world living out their dreams Reality they don't know what it means I long for times of clear traffic lanes And the noise of old steam trains Memories that seem better looking back

Opfer der Zeit

By Roland Köhler
