Hotel Jesus

(Brian Hendrix)

Another I wrote as more tongue-in-cheek, but it carries a good message for those who are religious. This is about a man of faith who runs a small little hotel off the beaten path, and folks have taken to calling it the "Hotel Jesus," due to the ambiance and level of faith displayed by its owner.

Well... Old man Johnson and his 20 rooms Has a Bible in each drawer, at noon He says the Lord's prayer out there by the pool And in every room there's a velvet Christ Everyone who stays says it looks real nice When they check out he says, "Thank you, He's comin' soon..." (Chorus) At the Hotel Jesus Everyone's a believer If you ain't accepted Him yet You will, I bet Long before you ever leave 'er Lay right down, confess your sins Take the Bible home, it's our free gift There's no room for deceivers At the Hotel Jesus Now... The water, they say, it's awfully hot Holy and clean, it hits the spot It'll Baptize you whether you want it to or not And every meal, Mr. Johnson blessed That tender steak and free-range eggs You'll get full up on the Lord's love Though it ain't a lot... (Chorus) (Bridge) All the sinners are welcome to come inside And everyone of a different faith But the righteous man gets a steep discount Half the price and a second plate (Chorus)

Yes to the Ring

By Brian Hendrix

A little funny and quirky, but also something relatable for many. This is about a man who asked his girlfriend to marry him, and she said yes. But after so long seeing her in love with the ring, and sort of ignoring him, he begins to think that she only said yes to the ring.

Who's That Man

By Brian Hendrix

I love a good baseball song. There have been quite a few that really stand out for me. This is a baseball song, but it goes much deeper. It's about a boy who plays baseball with his friends over the summer, and the same old man is always in the stands rooting them on. Who is that man? The song eventually reveals the mystery.

Her Callous Heart

By Brian Hendrix

A song about a guy who can't get over his former woman. How he feels for her has sort of shaped his life, and he just chalks everything wrong in his life up to her callous heart and her decision to leave. It works from the opposite perspective to, just switching it to "his" callous heart et al.

None of Their Business

By Brian Hendrix

A lot of us end up falling for someone whose family and friends sort of get in the way. Maybe their parents don't like you, or maybe their friends are set against you and trying to convince the person you're no good. Well, it's none on their business. Always remember that.

SCUMBAG!

By Karianne Gabaldon

I can’t stand scumbags... can’t we all though? This is for all of the people who have messed with our hearts just for hook ups, or whatever wrong they have done to you.

Ich mach mir Sorgen!

By AQUABA

Das ist ein besinnlicher Text, der auch traurig stimmt, unsere Welt ist nicht mehr was sie war, überall Chaos und Verderben, die Menschen sind aus der Bahn geworfen, der Zug entgleist, wo geht die Reise noch hin?

Dachterasse

By Jones Lyrics

Deutscher Heart-Break-Rnb.
