Elder
Elder is a poetic perspective on a young person's connection to an older relative. The language is vague but very intentional, seeking to capture a sobering phase of life that's nigh-impossible to replicate once you leave it. The words encourage you to experience them slowly and consider what they're saying before they're gone--just like the kind, loving elders we all hopefully have in our own lives.

Ashamed to say the least
Limitations shared in spine
Repay this lease on ease
Congregate a piece of mine
Every color of your cavalcade
Arrayed in different shades of gray
Were you born, did you pass away
Once placed upon your knee
Still coalesce another time
Maybe it’s momentary
Inheriting your peace of mind
Every color of your cavalcade
Arrayed in different shades XX XXXX
