This song is about becoming a man from a boy and growing to become true champions it is also a song that describes how our love interest feels about us, it is a song about getting stronger and believing that tomorrow is a better day and it also touches on violence by people who do not share the same values and beliefs.
This song is about a love, that makes all the others pale in comparison
Dieser Song handelt davon das sich ein Mensch der es im Leben sehr schwer hat durchschlagen muss. Das erfordert manchmal etwas Witz und Mut.
This lyric is inspired by 'Emo Girl' - MGK, Willow Smith, Blink-182's 'What's My Age Again?', and just the nostalgia of old skl teenage rock songs e.g. 'Teenage Dirtbag' - Wheatus, 'Crashed The Wedding' - Busted, 'Last Resort' - Papa Roach, and a lot of McFly songs. As much as I loved the RnB / Hip Hop genres, these 'Rocky' styles of mysic made up a lot of my childhood and I am saddened that many artists of the 2020s generation, do not make these styles of rock songs anymore. 'Saved By Summer' is for the emo kids; the ones who felt misunderstood growing up, but also those who took more of a rebellious turn later in life...I wrote this song for you! It is about a melancholy experience of life, with 'Summer' being both a literal season and a personification of a love interest 'saving' the protagonist/artist from the gloom of their personal life/school life. On a positive note, Summer signifies the emergence of Holiday, Romance, ice cream, and fun. A sweet escape or escapade! Contrastingly, on a more darker note, in this song, 'Summer' could also symbolise death/suicide (with themes of "the ocean" and references to not being able to "float"), 'freeing' the protagonist/artist from the stresses/stressers of life. Ultimately, the song ends reassuring the protagonist/viewer/listener that they do not have to live in gloom, as "Summer's always in sight..."  Freedom and hope are the end goals! It's emo, it's foreboding, but it's also cathartic. (It is written from the male perspective but feel free to change/amend the genders to your liking/preference e.g. "He"/"She" etc, but you must keep the overall song in first person). Genres: Rock / Rap / Indie.
Knowing something is wrong but being unable to stop yourself from doing it.
