Child in your adult mind

(Adrian Mallinson)

A song about getting back in touch with the child within and not being seduced and corrupted by a society that pushes you to keep up with the Joneses and to constantly accumulate 'unnecessary' necessities. The lyrics speak about someone who has been sucked into a way of life in which only material things are of any importance.

I’M THE CHILD IN YOUR ADULT MIND I BRING YOU BACK TO WHAT YOU FEEL INSIDE YOUR QUEST FOR STATUS AND ALL THOSE THINGS THINGS, THINGS, THINGS THAT YOU REALLY DON’T NEED YOU’RE FRAIL AND FLAWED, A VICTIM OF OUR CULTURE LED BY THE NOSE BY ALL THOSE VULTURES YOU FEEL SO STRONG WHEN YOU PLAY THE GAME BUT IT’S YOU WHO LOSES IN SO MANY WAYS I’M THE CHILD IN YOUR ADULT MIND, I BRING YOU BACK TO WHAT YOU FEEL INSIDE ROUND AND ROUND LIKE A WHEEL YOU TURN HEADING NOWHERE, IT’S A DEAD-END ROAD CHASING PHANTOMS AND FOLLOWING THE HERD WHEREVER THE WIND GOES THAT’S WHERE YOU GO BUT YOU CAN STOP IT, YOU KNOW YOU CAN JUST LISTEN TO ME AND I WILL MAKE YOU SEE BECAUSE I’M THE CHILD IN YOUR ADULT MIND, I BRING YOU BACK TO WHAT YOU FEEL INSIDE

THE DEMON’S GRIN

If you have ever started a relationship with someone you perceived as having angelic qualities but then found out that the opposite was true, then you will know what these lyrics are about. All that glisters is not gold, gilded tombs do worms enfold.

Gotta break out

By Adrian Mallinson

A song about someone finding it increasingly difficult to cope with the pressures of modern, urban existence and the constant struggle to get by in an environment that often feels like a war zone. A need to escape, to break out and find a place to recover and take stock.

Kicking up the carpet of autumn leaves

A song about infatuation or love at first sight. Obsession with someone with whom you have not even spoken but only seen. Walking trhough the autumn leaves alone and imagining being together with that person.

Whispers of the Cosmic Ballet

By Edward McBride

I have tried to create a dreamlike atmosphere throughout the lyrics. The connection between the individual and the cosmos is expressed --the idea of finding grace, learning to fly, and navigating life's ebbs and flows resonates with a sense of hope and resilience. In the outro, it invites the reader to join in the cosmic dance and embrace the dreams that lie within the whispers of the night

Famous

By Howard Aronson

This is a lyric about a relationship with a potential star, who becomes one. As the relationship goes along and the person becomes a bigger star they leave, and when they return there's always less of them that comes back. The person who isn't the star knows that the days are numbered and they will leave one day for good. The only good thing about it was that person got famous from the other. Famous for being the other one in the relationship. Even though they should have known better to get involved and stay in the relationship, they did.

Standing Here and Looking Back

By Isaac Wragg

Nostalgia is appealing, but it also has an enemy. Forgetting the last can harm us just as much as idolizing it. Finding a balance is hard, but when we do--seeing the good, the bad, and the path that led us here--we don't have to ignore or be owned by what our life used to be.

ATOMS

By Melanie Thompson

Some people believe that what one human being does can affect another human being. Even if they are great distances apart. These lyrics take that idea and shrink it.
