My eyes

(Drew Lopez)

Very sad country style song. I was speaking to a woman at a bar who had given her daughter up for adoption. She knew that she was adopted and actually took to liking her biological mother. The woman said it kills her to not have her daughter with her but was very proud of the woman she was becoming.

I was so young and foolish when you stormed into my life I told myself that I can do this but that was just my foolish pride I gave you all that I had I just couldn’t give you enough and baby I promise you that I gave you up out of love Well they have your memories your first day of school and they’ll have your last and they get your good times they get to cheer you up when you are sad they got your first steps, they got to hold you close each time you’d cry and they get to keep you in their lives but you have my eyes I watched you grow from afar and they didn’t seem to care for that and oh how you stole my heart every other time I heard your laugh I keep your baby picture close it seems sometimes that’s all I have left at least your life is on path and mine without you is such a mess Now they have your memories your first day of school and they’ll have your last and they get your good times they get to cheer you up when you are sad they got your first steps, they got to hold you close each time you’d cry and they get to keep you in their lives but you have my eyes Now you’re all grown XX XXX XXXXXXXX X XXXXX XXX XXXXXXX XXX XXX XXXXX XXXXX X XXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXXX XXXX XXXXXX XXX X XXXX XXX XXX XXXX XXXXXX XXX XXXXXX XXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXX XXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XX XX XXX XXXXXXXXX XX XXXXX XX XX XXXX XXX XXX XXXX XXXX XXXXX X XXXX XXX XXXXX XXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXX XXXXXXXXX X XXXX XXX XXX XXXX XXX XXX XX XXXXXXXXX XXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXX XXXXX XXX XX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXX X XXXX X XXX XXXXX XXX XXXX XXXXX XXXXXX X XXXX X XXXXX XXXX XXX XXXX XXX XXX X XXXX X XXX XX XXXX XXX XX XX XXXX XX XXXXX XXX XXXX XX XXXX

Misunderstood Creatures

This song represents same sex couples. I wrote this about a lesbian girl who was left hanging by her girlfriend. Basically, she was questioning herself and her worth. So this is a dark song that builds into an upbeat need to express your desires.

We just danced

By Drew Lopez

This song represents a conversation that never happened, but was what two people thought as they met at a dance. The first verse is a guy asking a girl to dance. The second verse is her exact response to each of his lines in the first verse.

A very "Rollingstones" inspired song. I imagined it with Mick Jagger's voice when I wrote it. This song is very upbeat and heavy guitar driven. I wanted it to go fast, and let the music sort of carry the song forward to the next line of lyrics. It's a fun song about drooling over a person who you are watching on stage.

Slipping away

This is an angry, but too sad to yell song. Where you are trying and trying to make a relationship work, but the other person won't try with you. We have all felt heartbreak and I feel this song makes it easy to see yourself in.

Easter Truth

By Nick Duer

This is a song about my beliefs. They are non religous. Yet spiritual. To me religion has too many traditions and borders. Saying one is wrong and should or will perish. My belief is that we are all instruments and lyrics in the most beautiful song ever written. The love song written by our creator, we are one with that creator when we show compassion and love for one another.

Not your lucky charm

By Lungi

This is a song to raise awareness on the killings and discrimination on people living with albinism.
