This song describes all of the pain and anguish of a relationship breakdown, it is further complicated because her best friend was having an affair with her boyfriend. After a period of time to deal with the downside including contemplating suicide she shows an inner strength to come back mentally stronger, in better physical shape and looking more beautiful.
