It gets to the point where I want to take my life, and find myself staring at a knife. I contemplated about calling the song staring at a knife, but I wanted to put a positive spin on it and called it meet again. The song is hopeful that I will meet my love again, and I won't have to use the knife.

This lyric is about wanting to get back what I lost. I know I made mistakes in the relationship, and I'm pleading for one more chance. Not in a begging way, but in a way that says hey we had a great thing, I messed up, and what can I do to fix it and then move on. It's definitely a love song, with an opposite side to it. This lyric is a love song, yet it has a ironic side to it. There's anger, and there's joy, and it's funny how those two things can fit in a love song I want to thank Cam B. For inspiring me to write a lyric with a double meaning. We've all had relationships where we've given everything and got nothing in return. But in the end we still love that person even though we have to leave them. It's tough to do both mentally and physically. We're so dependent on the human touch, on the feeling of love and being wanted. But sometimes you have to face reality and break away from those things, as much as it hurts.

Distance is a song about long distance love. Meeting your love online, having an online relationship, and all the loneliness and emptiness you can feel from never having them with you.
