We've all had nightmares and dreams that seem so real and then we have reality that becomes a nightmare or a dream. In other words we dream about things or have nightmares about things that are real and vice versa.
This is a lyric about my grandparents and my parents to a degree. Both of them got married young and stayed together until the end. And my grandparents case they were married for 62 years, my grandfather died first and then my grandmother. And my parents case they were married for 53 years, and my dad died couple of months before their 54th anniversary. I know that my parents and grandparents had disagreements but they never went to bad angry. And it was always the last kiss before they went to sleep. My grandfather worked as an electrician and my grandmother stayed home to raise three children and boy did she do a tremendous job. But that came out of price, has she really never got to enjoy all the fruits of her labor. I remember one time my grandfather wanted to buy her a Cadillac because that was her favorite car, but she would not let him do it. She was so selfless. My mom worked for a Time on and off, but basically my dad was the breadwinner. Although this lyric is pretty much made up, it is based on my parents and my grandparents.
Life is a play and each of us have a role. Much like a movie, there is a begging, a middle and an end. The end brings about goodbye for characters that we fall in love with at some point.
A song about a relationship full of turmoil and lies. Sometimes these lies can get into your head to the point that they become closer to the truth than they ever should be while the other person is the one who's actually destroying the relationship.
A song about someone who loves another contrary to what that person does or say. Contrary to what the world makes of it, knowing it will end one day, still chooses to stay.
